CollegeInvest offers four distinct college savings plans. Within these plans, you’ll find a variety of options, from great growth potential to slow and steady earnings, or somewhere in between. We help deliver a plan that works for you.

• Direct Portfolio College Savings Plan^SM
  Managed by The Vanguard Group and Upromise Investments, Inc., Direct Portfolio offers a combination of equity, fixed income and money market options, available directly through CollegeInvest.
• Scholars Choice College Savings Program^SM
  Managed by Legg Mason Global Asset Allocation, LLC., an affiliate of Legg Mason, Inc., the Scholars Choice Program offers a combination of equity, fixed income and money market options available only through financial advisors.
• Smart Choice College Savings Plan^SM
  Managed by FirstBank, the Smart Choice Plan offers two FDIC-insured savings options: a Money Market Savings and a 1-Year Time Savings.  This plan is available at all FirstBank locations or online at www.efirstbank.com.
• Stable Value Plus College Savings Plan^SM
  Backed by The MetLife Insurance Company, this plan is a fixed-income fund designed to protect your principal investment. This plan is available directly through CollegeInvest.

Direct Portfolio Money Market Portfolio
In the CollegeInvest Direct Portfolio Plan, the Portfolio’s investment in the Vanguard^® Prime Money Market Fund is not insured or guaranteed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or any other government agency. Although the Fund seeks to preserve the value of the investment at $1 per share, it is possible that the Portfolio may lose money by investing in the Fund.

Scholars Choice Money Market Option
While the money market option will invest all of its assets in a money market mutual fund and will value its units based on the underlying money market fund share value, the money market option itself is not a money market mutual fund. An investment in the money market option is not a bank deposit and is not insured or guaranteed by the FDIC or any other governmental agency. There is no assurance that the money market option will be able to maintain the value of its units at $1 per unit. It is possible to lose money by investing in this option.

Smart Choice FDIC Insurance Coverage
Smart Choice College Savings Plans are not insured by CollegeInvest, the State of Colorado, or its agencies. However, these funds are FDIC-insured in accordance with the current FDIC coverage limits.

Capacity of Dealer and Other Parties
CollegeInvest is the issuer of plan securities and is the trustee of the plans in accordance with Colorado law. CollegeInvest also oversees the Managers' activities and provides certain administrative services, such as marketing, audit, and financial statements, in connection with the plans.

Upromise Investments, Inc., serves as Plan Manager for the CollegeInvest Direct Portfolio College Savings Plan and has overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations, including effecting transactions. The Vanguard Group, Inc., serves as Plan Manager and Investment Manager for the CollegeInvest Direct Portfolio College Savings Plan. Vanguard Marketing Corporation, an affiliate of The Vanguard Group, Inc., assists CollegeInvest with marketing and distributing the CollegeInvest Direct Portfolio College Savings Plan.

Legg Mason Global Asset Allocation, LLC is an affiliate of Legg Mason Inc. Legg Mason, Inc., a holding company, with its subsidiaries is a global asset management firm. The firm is headquartered in Baltimore. The primary distributor for the product is Legg Mason Investor Services, LLC.

FirstBank serves as the Plan Manager for the CollegeInvest Smart Choice College Savings Plan and has overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations, including effecting transactions.  FirstBank also assists CollegeInvest with marketing and distributing the CollegeInvest Smart Choice College Savings Plan.

The MetLife Insurance Company serves as the Investment Manager for the CollegeInvest Stable Value Plus College Savings Plan.
